Soft Dinner Rolls
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cup whole milk
- 4 Tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 1/2 Tbsp active yeast
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 4 cups all-purpose flour (more if needed)
Instructions
- Combine milk and butter. Microwave on high (15 sec increments) until very warm (110F).
- Add salt, sugar and yeast to milk and butter. Whisk together and let it sit for ~5 minutes.
- Pour liquids into stand mixer bowl, add flour in small portions till dough is not sticky. (~4 cups).
- Knead dough (dough hook = 2 mins; hand = 10-12 mins)
- Place dough in an oiled bowl, cover with a towel and let rise for ~1hr in a warm place.
- Line __ x __” pan with parchment paper
- Cut dough into 24 pieces. Roll each piece of dough into a ball pinching the seam to seal
- Place, seam sides down, on lined pan in 4 rows of 6.
- Cover with towel; let rise in warm place until doubled in size, about 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven 350F
- Bake for ~20 mins or until golden brown.
- Remove from pan with a spatula and place onto a wire rack.
- Immediately grease top of buns with butter or margarine
